"Sib, Stop Shrinking" is a space to explore your origin story, including the source of potential limiting beliefs or the source of our shrinking as Hippolyta did in Lovecraft Country. You will visit multiple dimensions to "meet yourself back where you started but stronger" as Beyoncè says in Black is King. This virtual healing space is facilitated using a visual presentation, writing prompts and music.
The Black Women's Guide to Grief 11/15 SUNDAY 12pm - 2:30pm
"The Black Women's Guide to Grief" will
honor and hone in on the complex ways that Black women may uniquely experience grief and loss. Pulling from the archives of lived experience, pop culture, literature and music, BWGG is guided with a visual presentation, writing prompts and movement meditation.
Name Yourself Possible: Personal Power + Poetry 11/22 SUNDAY 12pm - 2:30pm
This healing space wants to help you remember the shape of your name and reclaim your dreams. You will explore the powerful examples of poets Lucille Clifton, June Jordan, Audre Lorde, and Sonia Sanchez while unleashing your personal power through the poetic forms of haiku, haiju and sonku. NYP... is guided using a visual presentation and writing prompts.
